算GDP和通货膨胀指数

GDP两种算法：the expenditure approach & the income approach

The expenditure approach to calculating GDP is often summarized with the formula:

GDP =C+I+G+X

where C is consumption expenditures by households

I is investment by firms

G is government purchases

X is net exports= exports -imports

通货膨胀指数两种算法：

CPI=total cost this period /total cost base period *100

Inflation Rate =[CPI(this period)-CPI(previous period)]/CPI(previous period) *100

The CPI overstates the amount of inflation since it does not account for all quality improvements

GDP Deflator=GDP/Real GDP *100

real GDP & nominal GDP

The important feature is that prices are held constant ,so that any changes in the real GDP are the result of changes in the amount production.

base year: The year from which prices are taken to calculate real GDP is called the base year.

It does not matter which year is chosen as the base year.

In the base year, real and nominal GDP are equivalent.

要知道Inflation的成本，最值得关注的一点就是

Inflation tax---wealth is redistributed from lenders to borrowers

Fisher's Hypothesis

Nominal Interest Rate =Real Interest Rate+Expected Inflation

The nominal interest rate is the rate actually paid.

The real interest rate is the actual return the lender receives net of inflation.

要知道那些是不被算在GDP中的

1.secondhand

2.transactions that are purely financial

3.intermediate sales

4.要知道underground economy的存在，Underground economy的存在也说明了用GDP来表示The actual level of national output的缺陷

5.Unemployment rate ！ discouraged workers are not a part of the labor force ,therefore it is not counted in unemployment rate.

Unemployment rate=unemployment people/labor force

labor force= unemployed people ＋employed people

其中过小的学员，退休的老人和不积极找工作的人都不算在labor force中！

According to Okuu's law, there is inverse relationship between unemployment rate and Real GDP!
